We were married on July 23, 2005 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. It was a wonderful day, and now we get to celebrate our marriage every day. In the summer of 2011, we became the parents of twin boys! Join us for the Rollins Report!

Vacation Bible Camp!
I had a blast with the kids! Granted, I came home exhausted every day. All that jumping around does get tiring, but talk about a great workout! The boys got to play in the nursery while I was with the VBC kids. On Thursday, they had a couple of water slides up for the elementary kids, so when I had a break, I tried them out. The line for the bigger slide was quite long, but one of the other adults personally escorted me to the front of the line, and none of the kids said anything. I had fun playing on the water slides, I always do! On Friday, they had a hot air balloon that we could all take turns walking in. Finally, on Saturday night, I got to lead the kids in a couple of our VBC songs during the service. What a great ending to the week!
It was awesome to be back at VBC. The theme this year was Look up and Trust God. While I was teaching the songs, many of which were about trusting God, I started thinking that hey, this message isn't just for kids! Even I could learn something, too! And that is probably my favorite part of helping with Vacation Bible Camp.

Quelle Day!
We get to church, then I realized as I was getting them unloaded that their diaper bag was sitting in our kitchen. I ran them in to the nursery, then went back home to get it. By the time I got back, everyone was there dropping off their kids. So it was a bit nuts. I went to the volunteer room to look for food, and I guess I had the day wrong, so I didn't get breakfast. (again, my fault for not bringing my own breakfast.)
I was having fun with the kids, but I started to lose my voice toward the end, which was no fun. It was water day for the elementary kids, so I did try out both of the water slides. That was awesome. Trying to get out of the church was tough. It was extremely hard to navigate through the crowd with the stroller. Normally, we are gone before the crowd hits, but not today.
Justin then decides to let out one of his ear-piercing screams and proceeds to keep screaming. I'm guessing he was hot and tired. Since people were getting into the car that was parked on Justin's side, I put Jack in first. Justin screams the whole time we're in the parking lot (which was a while since it was so crowded), and screams the whole way home. I get them in their high chairs and give Justin his sippy cup while I heated up their lunch. I fed Jack first, but he only wanted his bottle, he wasn't really interested in food. Neither was Justin. In fact, Justin was falling asleep with his cup. I gave him some Cheerios, but he was more interested in sleeping.
After they went to bed, it was nice and quiet. Unfortunately, all of their screaming gave me a headache. And I'm pretty sure I'm getting a summer cold. Yay.

One year old
I then had David help me paint my toenails, I didn't want yucky chipped toenail polish on the operating table, either. The funny thing is that I wound up wearing socks, so it didn't matter. The whole birthing experience was very surreal. I remember it like it was yesterday, especially the first time I heard the boys cry.
After a year of having the boys, I can say with certainty that life is so different than before. I never knew how much I would enjoy solo trips to Wal-Mart. I also never knew how much I would enjoy watching them interact with each other, smile and bounce up and down when I walk into the room!
Since the boys are a year old, we took them for their well-child doctor visit. Jack is just shy of 22 pounds and Justin is just under 21. A far cry from 5 lbs, 2 oz., and 3 lbs, 13 oz! Everything else was right on track as well! What an interesting year this has been!
